Nikki’s mom was the first one to say a toast. She took the microphone. Her notes were all ready for her too. The story began from the very beginning…in the hospital. “It’s a girl” the doctor said. Alida ((Nikki’s mom)) was the happiest person at that moment! And those were the words that set her into the wedding planning mode :). And let me tell you, they did an amazing job at this planning thing! Every little details was impeccable. Peonies and roses wedding bouquet, stunning lacy wedding dress, amazing elegant wedding cake surrounded by countless candles, spacious and incredibly beautiful Ryland Inn to host all the guests – all of it was perfect! But what was even more perfect and something that they couldn’t plan for but only dream and hope, was Jon. You can plan a rosemary branch to be put on the menu for every guest to enojy, but you can’t plan out a heart of a man who will take your daughter and promise to take care of her for the rest of his life. Jon was that man. And from Alida’s words, she couldn’t be happier and couldn’t wish for anyone better for her daughter. If you scroll through the photos you will see if all – a careful and thoughtful wedding planning in each detail on one side, and love and joy and happiest celebration of this marriage on the other! Here are just a few of my favorite moments from Nikki and Jon’s wedding at the beautiful Ryland Inn!
Wedding Ceremony at Kirkpatrick Chapel
Both Nikki and Jon went to school to Rutgers University. And so did Nikki’s mom. Alida got married at Kirkpatrick Chapel, and so did Nikki and Jon! I was simply in love with this idea from the very beginning just because of how meaningful it was. After seeing Kirkpatrick Chapel in person though it made even more sense because of how amazingly beautiful the chapel was. And another fun fact about the wedding planning is that Nikki wore her mom’s veil – again not only it is so good from a traditional stand point, but the veil was simply stunning and made Nikki look even prettier!
They are MARRIED!!!
