When you had a rainy engagement session and it also poured in on your wedding day…a little sad… but also in addition to that when your brother-in-law is a weatherman and you still get flash flooding warnings and rain forecasts for your wedding… even more disappointing!!! But all jokes aside, I am so excited to share these beautiful Philander Chase Knox Estate wedding photos with you! Breanna and Alex got married in an intimate ceremony with the closest family and friends surrounding them. For me the beauty of a wedding is remembered not only by the gorgeous wedding attire, elegant floral design and intricate jewelry but also how the families interact and are on a wedding day! It’s always SO sweet to witness the extra level of warmth and care among the family members. Special thoughtfulness on a wedding day can be shown in, of course, small gifts (which Breanna is amazing at!!!!). But also, acts of care is so so wonderful to witness. I will start with gifts here because we all appreciate wedding gift ideas I think! Breanna amazed me with her taste and choices in MANY things on her wedding day but the gifts she gave to her mom, sister and flower girls were so special. All of the ladies received a necklace with an engraved flower that was their birth flower! And in addition to that little flower girls (Breanna’s nieces) got perfect little handmade bunnies to play with on the wedding day! Now as I am a mom of small children I thought it was a GENIUS idea because kids LOVE fresh toys! Now if for some reason they didn’t enjoy the wedding day process they had something to be entertained with and play with! Simply genius! Now unto the acts of care! There were many throughout the day but the most touching one was Breanna’s dad! On multiple occasions he helped her throughout the day to navigate the dress, the flowers, the umbrellas on a rainy wedding day. He buckled her shoes and he helped her with her bracelet, all without being asked. He just volunteered because of course he loves her daughter and wanted to serve her. This made my heart tender! And now to Alex and Breanna! They are definitely a perfect match for each other for personalities. Both caring, attentive, gentle they went so graciously through this beautiful but RAINY wedding day. Flash flooding warnings didn’t make the morning happier but seriously these bride and groom carried themselves so perfectly through this not so perfect situation! And we DID get a break from the rain and the photos (AND memories) are now just impeccable!!!

This ring with small pearls above is a family heirloom and every girl wore it on their wedding day. I am in love with the ring and the tradition! 
And HOW STUNNING Breanna looks in the elegant wedding dress?!!!
And here is one of the sweetest moments between the bride and her dad! Helping her with the bracelet! 
It was stil raining during the first look so we took a few photos on the covered porch and then went inside for some photos. It’s always best to preserve the freshness of the hair before the ceremony especially when it rains. It did stop raining after the ceremony so we were able to fill in a lot of the photos in a small amout of time during the cocktail hour.
And seriously, how beautiful this simple floral design and these gorgeous farmhouse table for a wedding!?!
Another gift idea that Breanna so wonderfully incorporated into the floral theme were these seed packages for each guest. What a perfect meaningful idea for a wedding favor for everyone to enjoy for a long time after the wedding!
And how beautiful are these moms during the father daugher dance! I am very sure I will be the same way on my daughter’s wedding day! 
I was so in love with the Philander Chase Knox Estate property! So much natural beauty!
