Katie and Ben’s rustic wedding was pretty much perfect. It was held at a rustic and cozy venue Vandiver Inn. Their closest family and friends surrounded them for this wonderful event. Both runners and fruit snacks lovers joined their lives together that wonderful sunny day. Ben’s dad, a big fan of comic books (who owns 25,000 comic books! Yes you read it correctly), probably had some influence on Ben’s style :). Ben, his dad and his brother wore tie clips in the shape of super hero signs. Very stylish and fun! The day was simply lovely with rustic DIY wedding details of the decor and amazing and fun people! And me, your servant, Philadelphia wedding photographer had an immense pleasure of capturing their special moments! Check out some of my favorite photos of them!
Vandiver Inn building is a pretty cool location for a rustic wedding. Vitorian style of the building perfectly match rustic, fun and relaxed mood of the wedding. I thought Katie and Ben made the best pick of the venue for the type of wedding they had! I don’t really like bragging but I simply love this shot of Katie’s wedding dress and how it looks in comparison with Vandiver Inn bridal suit. And you can easily see that the size of the building in a perspective with a dress – not huge but cozy suit. And Katie and Ben’s details of their wedding outfits were so-so good. Simple but with taste, Ben has designed their wedding invitations. Yellow was their color scheme, so Katie’s yellow shoes and Ben’s yellow tie and handmade boutonniere from etsy were so perfectly in line with their style. And as you can see Katie’s wedding dress was amazing lacy dress!!! I was in love with it!Ben and his brother were almost ready too and very soon Ben would see his bride! And here is a better look of Ben fun handmade paper boutonniere from etsy store ThePaperFlowerbed. And here they both are, just separated by the wall. Very soon will be married! And here are some creative wedding photos. Photographing up close and photographing through things always create a fun effect in wedding photos. And here we go!!! Katie and Ben’s first look. It was super sweet how they loved each other’s outfits and gave compliments to each other. And then we had some time for their wedding photos. The day was perfectly sunny and I enjoyed playing with them and the light so much! The backdrop was nice fresh green and gave their every wedding photo nice pop of color. They were relaxed even though they both said they didn’t like being photographed (lairs!!!!) and we totally had a blast!Katie’s sister was her maid of honor and she was a beautiful dark blue lady dress. It matched so wonderfully to Katie’s lacy dress and gave them ‘something blue’ :).Ben’s brother was the best man, and his outfit complimented Ben’s gray wedding suit and a blue tie matched the maid of honor. So good! And look at Katie’s wedding head piece!!!! Handmade again purchased from ThePaperFlowerbed on etsy. Yellow and dark blue it was to match perfectly the colors of the wedding. And after a little bit of time we headed back to Vandiver Inn for some family portraits and to get ready for their wedding ceremony. When Katie and Ben got to ceremony sight we had family photos done and I loved it so much how pleasant both of their families were.
And as you can see, as I mentioned before, Ben, his dad and his brother wore super hero tie pins! So fun!!!And then the wedding ceremony came! Ben’s sister played live guitar music as the ceremony has begun. It was so beautiful and person and so perfect for their rustic wedding. And now they are married and let the celebrations begin! Now we could see even more beautiful rustic decor and some custom made pieces that perfectly tied in with the whole theme. And Vandiver Inn‘s set up was beautiful as well. If you know me at all, you probably know how addicted I am to the lights. So having lights in the background made my heart so happy :).The celebration begun with all the regular things like bride and groom dances, best man and maid of honor toasts, and then there were parent dances. Katie and her dad held up pretty god, but Ben and his mom (well, especially mom) got pretty emotional. And I cannot imagine how some parents don’t get emotional, because now being a mom I get simply emotional just looking at them!!!And then the fun began and everyone was invited to the dance floor!Even Ben’s grandma danced all night long with Ben’s uncle. And when it came to dessert, it was the best set ever! Naked rustic cake that was decorated with fresh strawberries, raspberries and peaches, and then perfect additional wedding desserts – oatmeal cookies and gluten free cookies!I couldn’t stand the beauty of all of it so I used the berries from the cake for bride and groom’s ring shots 🙂And then it was almost a time for sunset, and me, bride and groom were able to sneak out for some dusk time photos with the use of Off Camera Flash. I start loving these kind of photos more and more. And then there was the end of it all. Katie and Ben were married and their wedding was a beautiful celebration of it! God bless you guys!
