Andrea and Scott met online and dated for 4 years. Scott being his smart self proposed to Andrea on December 18th so that he can beat all the Christmas engagements and be engaged during Christmas season :). I am sure Andrea was more surprised with this engagement date than she would be with Christmas engagement because let’s face it, there are a lot more chances to get engaged on Christmas eve than any other day of the year. On a personal note, my husband also didn’t propose to me on Christmas, so it was less expected :).
So soon after engagement, the wedding planning started and not even a year later Andrea and Scott got married in Ocean Place in Long Branch, NJ. The sounds, the smells, the temperature and humidity was reminding me of a vacation resort so it brought a lot of good memories about my wedding and honeymoon. But I was there not to think about my wedding 🙂 but to record Andrea and Scott’s special day! But this is definitely a blessing of a wedding photographer to experience these happy moments so often!
The girls’ room was filled with anticipation and happiness and I am sure groom was having fun as well. Andrea’s dress was gorgeous strapless gown. Her jewelry was turquoise and so was her bridesmaids’ jewelry. The girls wore turquoise gowns and it was super perfect for a beach wedding! The ring bearer was carrying the cutest treasure box with a ring with a HUGE fake diamond! It was simply adorable. Andrea’s engagement ring was Scott’s grandmother’s 80-year-old ring – the most beautiful ring I have ever seen! But Scott was exchanging this treasure for a treasure’s heart if you know what I mean. Andrea is the sweetest girl (well Scott was okay too 🙂 and it’s my pleasure to share some of their wedding photos! And it was my honor to be their wedding photographer!
This handsome guy was a ring bearer and you can see what a diamond he was taking care of :)!
After the ladies got ready, this is what I had to work with!!!!! THIS GORGEOUS BRIDE! Andrea was simply perfect and some of the comments she got were ‘Covergirl’ and ‘Off the cover of the magazine’. She was totally worth these compliments! And this happy guy was walking for Andrea to come down the isle.I am always surprised by how much the father walking the bride down the isle gets me! One of the most touching moments in the whole wedding – one man who loves this girl to death trusting another man to take care of her for the rest of her life. The sun was super bright but as all beach wedding, this beach wedding had an advantage of having sand as a natural reflector. All the shadows were illuminated by the sun reflecting of the sand and all the pictures came out wonderfully and happily bright! The blessing was said, the marriage was sealed with a kiss, and they are married now!Everyone had a fun and great time getting some bridal party photographs but it came time for the cocktail hour, and me and bride and groom sneaked out for some bridal party shots while everyone else joined the cocktail hour.
The second part of the wedding is coming soon :).
