Sarah and Neal are the ultimate love birds! When people look at them, they can see that they are forever in love! The quite love, respect is understanding is deeply planted in their relationship. Knowing each other for almost 5 years because they worked together, they finally decided that they are meant to be together and started dating and pretty quickly everything turned into a love story with a happy wedding at the end. Their wedding took place at amazingly cozy wedding venue Peter Shields Inn in Cape May, NJ. The rooms were filled with beautiful natural light, there was a lot of space, the service was impeccable and the stained glass windows were simply amazing. A wedding photographer can’t ask for anything better for this Cape May wedding! We started off the day with photographing Sarah getting ready to walk down the isle, but in the middle of it I was able to capture a few candid moments and strengthen my photojornalistic muscle :). Sarah’s dad sitting in the hallway and waiting to see his gorgeous daughter, Sarah’s nephew being straightened out by his grandma, a few laughs and a few tears – all these small things make my heart of a wedding photographer happy!
Scroll down, enjoy some beautiful Cape May wedding photos and read a beautiful story of Sarah and Neal’s big day! There will be a lot of photos but almost every photos represents a small story of that day. Read on!
Neal’s sister brought a small gift for Sarah for her wedding. It was their grandfathers locket. Sarah was so touched! Neal’s grandfather had a heart for Cape May and spent a lot of time there; and that was one of the reasons why they those Cape May to be a location for their wedding. And then Sarah’s mom came. Can you see how excited she was for that day. Sarah mom was the sweetest and funnest person! We had so much fun chatting after the wedding about how proud she is of Sarah, and how happy she is for them. And then there was a dress! A got a standard photo of the dress just like you see it hanging on the window; brides mom entered the room and I saw bride’s dad sitting in the hallway. I grabbed a quick candid moment of him waiting to see his beautiful daughter and as I stepped out into the hallway, I realized that I can grab a photo of the dress from a perspective of someone sneaking through slightly opened door. So here it is 🙂! and you can almost see the room number too!And there was the dad! Awaiting for this big event to start! Sarah’s wedding details were beautiful! And do you see how I was able to stylize them with some flowers? Well, Sarah’s florist sent these specifically for me! Cape Winds Florist is so great! And look at this gorgeous stained glass window at Peter Shields! So beautiful that I couldn’t resist to take another photo of the dress there as well. And then it was time! Sarah started getting ready to walk down the isle! And once this gorgeous bride was ready, her dad came in to see her. He got a little emotional and was a little speechless about how beautiful his daughter was! So so special! And here everyone was ready! Let the wedding ceremony begin!
I was focusing on the cute ring bearers and flower girl when I noticed that I can actually see bride and her dad ready to walk down the isle. So now they became focus of my attention – anxious, happy, so far and so close.
And here they were married forever!!!!
I can’t take much credit with this photo but I captured it so I guess all the credit goes to me. I put them on these beach poles and I had in mind of creating a gif of them passing the flower bouquet from groom to bride and back and forth….but…they started dancing while I backed up, so I just had to grab this happy moment of them.
This is not an original idea but I am super happy with the result. After a few portraits at the sunset we were walking back into the reception area when I saw that the light was perfect for this kind of photo. Bride and groom were completely lost when they heard what I asked them to do, but when the groom saw the photo on the back of my camera, he was astonished and said he has never seen anything like this…well, that’s because he doesn’t belong to ‘the art of the second shot’ group I thought to myself 🙂. This is my personal accomplishment 🙂.
There were toasts, wedding speeches, laughter and tears just like it is on a wedding. We had great conversations, fun times and most importantly we witnessed Sarah and Neal vows! Congrats you guys and God bless you!
