CC and Merry’s wedding day started off with a cloudy day, perfect temperatures and two gorgeous ladies that looked stunning. I met them when they were all ready and excited for the day. They stayed at the Beach Shack Hotel in Cape May so that’s where we met. We walked down the boardwalk to the Virginia Hotel in Cape May. They really wanted a few photos with the Virginia Hotel because they have spent a lot of time there enjoying drinks and wonderful people there on the porch. It was only a 10-minute walk and we enjoyed it thoughtfully! Their gorgeous wedding bouquets were made by Heart to Heart Florist in Cape May. I noted how many pretty succulents were included in them and that it’s probably possible to plants those afterwards. Well, I had the same idea that they had when they ordered the flowers! They are big gardeners and really wanted to keep the wedding memories last for longer than a day in more dimension that just wedding photos. And as you will see, their wedding favors were in the green gardening theme. Their wedding celebration was in the beautiful Beach Plum Farm. I loved seeing herbs and flowers prospering and creating beautiful analogy of their future lives prospering as well. The ceremony was taking right at the sunset but because it was a cloudy day it was getting darker a little faster. So by the end of the ceremony you will see how the light has changed and got a little moodier but it didn’t affect the happy and emotional mood during the ceremony. I think the reception was supposed to be under the open sky however, the forecast was that it was supposed to rain (and it did!), so the reception was moved to the tent, Krystina Kennedy from Congress Hall was the one to was setting everything up and taking care of everyone. The set up ended up being so perfect! The farm food family style looked and tasted delicious; the music by Corner Brothers was fun; the girls agreed to run outside for the rain photos! Can I ask for anything better? Good day, good evening, fun times! Check out CC and Merry’s wedding moments and wish them all the best!
Wedding Portraits in Cape May
So here are a few photos from CC and Merry’s portrait session. Gorgeous gorgeous brides! Both of them had pictures of their parent on their flowers. CC had her mom’s photo, and Merry had her dad’s. We walked the boardwalk enjoying the day and accepting people’s greetings.
CC forgot to put on the veil so Merry’s sister came to the rescue :). Luckily we didn’t walk away too far from their hotel yet! And hey there, spectators :)! And hey there, musician!!! 🙂 And once we were getting photos by one of the pretty homes in Cape May, the gate has opened and the man came out. Well, Merry recognized him and it was the Beach Plum Farm owner! What are the chances of us randomly running into the venue owner!
We took photos at the pretty Virginia Hotel and headed to the farm. The girls came with me and in order for it to happen my husband took out the car seats and cleaned the car :). So special thanks to Mr.Shellman :).
Wedding Ceremony at the Beach Plum Farm in Cape May
Once we arrived at the farm I was simply enchanted by how beautiful it was. Simple rustic green beauty would be the name I would give to that cozy farm. The guests arrived just on time and the ceremony has begun. Warm words and wishes for CC and Merry were shared and now they were married in the eyes of the state!
Hugs and warm wished came moments later and the celebration has begun!
Wedding Reception at the Beach Plum Farm
The rustic feel was not only outside on the farm but also under the tent. Low table centerpieces with local flowers, candle filled buckets, yellow table settings made everything look and feel so cozy. People enjoying the music, conversations, drinks and very soon the dinner and some dancing!
Haha, the cake! Let me tell you a story :). CC and Merry didn’t really cared for cutting it but I felt like it would be best if they would have at least a pretend photo just in case in down the road they wanted to have those photos. Well, there was no cutting utensils, so the ‘pretend’ situation really got real with pretending things :). CC soloed a final song of the evening and everyone had a blast!
The unwanted rain gave us an opportunity for some awesome rain photos and here it was – the end of the day – filled with fun and emotions, great moments and even greater people. I wish you all the best girls! God bless you!
