Brittany and Ben met through an online service and it was the first person that Ben met that the date wasn’t awkward. Well, that was a good sign from the beginning and now, as you see, this not awkward dating continued itself to a wonderful non-awkward wedding planning :). They dated for around 2 years when Ben knew that it was time to put the engagement ring on this awesome girl’s finger. His family goes on a yearly Mexico trip and that’s when he decided to do it. The scavenger hunt for a beautiful acrylic puzzle was planned. Oh, the puzzle was of a star fish because Brittany loves them so much. As the sunset time was getting closer and closer Brittany knew the proposal was coming but I guess even if you know it’s coming, you still say ‘yes’ and love the moment! Well, now, the wedding planning is in full swing. Their beautiful wedding will be taking place at the Clark’s Landing in Delran, NJ next year. but for now – their engagement session! We met at the Barnegat Lighthouse. The weather was perfect! The light was bright! The mood was wonderful! Brittany and Ben brought their 9-month old puppy Sinatra with them! Oh, what an energetic cutie he is! He definitely had a blast sniffing everything around and well, getting some cuddles along the way too :). Then Ben’s mom took Sinatra and me and the love-birds walked around the area near the Lighthouse. What a lovely location with a lovely atmosphere it was. i wouldn’t mind going there every weekend! As the sun was setting, the fishermen were wishing them all the best and I was just simply enjoying these sweet moments that Brittany and Ben were sharing. The light went from super bright, to beautifully soft and then we also grabbed a few night time photos. You will see my test photos below too. I set up the shot for the silhouetted photo but then started testing things in the post processing which I think I loved more. Well, after my quick facebook survey, it turned out people do prefer the initial photo I had in mind with a contrasty silhouet, but I am loving the second version better. So Brittany and Ben are going to get both versions and I will be sharing kind of both and kind of what I loved :). Enjoy a few of their engagement photos and say your congrats on their engagement!
