Michelle and Jeff got engaged in November and made their engagement only 6 months. They were already married in April and I had an honor of be their wedding photographer. And here south jersey wedding photographer travels to Philadelphia again :). We all met at the Rittenhouse Hotel. It was a super gorgeous hotel and we wanted to get a few wedding photographs for them there. However, Rittenhouse Hotel was holding some type of event so we were not allowed to have the whole photo session there. We did go in the small ourside Rittenhouse Hotel cafe and got a few beautiful wedding pictures for Michelle and Jeff. And that’s how we started out our wedding day!
Michelle wore a very ‘traditional’ wedding gown :). She wore a super cute green wedding dress. It perfectly matched with all the greenery and made their wedding photos pop. Jeff did well too with his wardrobe. He wore a sleek gray suit with a blight blue shirt and a matching tie. They have the best relationship and are very very sweet!
I love the way Michelle and Jeff’s photos came out when we were at Rittenhouse Hotel! Those few little corners were we able to utilize, create a perfect romantic atmosphere for their wedding photos.
In a few minutes we left Rittenhouse Hotel and headed into Rittenhouse Square for some wedding pictures there. I can’t image how many millions of people have photographs of themselves in the Rittenhouse Square. I think that we got a few unique shots there because of the lighting and season difference from everyone else. Check out these gorgeous blooming trees just a little below.
And as you can see while we were getting their wedding photos done, Michelle and Jeff’s families were walking by!!! So they got a picture too :).
The weather was mostly cloudy. It was completely fine because it creates even lighting. This kind of lighting is good for wedding portraits. But for a few minutes the sun peeked out! It was magical! I was able to use the Sun as a back lighting tool and it gave Michelle and Jeff’s wedding pictures extra spark.
Oh, and another unique thing about their wedding is that Michelle’s engagement ring had a green precious stone. Super cute to match the green wedding dress!
And that was my favorite part of their wedding photos!!! Blooming trees! SO GORGEOUS!!! I know that Rittenhouse Square is not only gorgeous place but a historical monument but these bushes totally made my day as a wedding photographer. Being a south jersey wedding photographer we don’t have the luxury of such gorgeous trees blooming everywhere. So being able to photograph wedding in front of these beauties was definitely a treat!
And there was the Barclays Prime! The gorgeous, rich, dark and moody wedding venue! I seriously loved it! The combination of natural light coming in through large window and my off camera flash made it was simply perfect! Darlene Weckerly did an amazing job decorating not only the dinner table but the whole room. A huge bouquet of tree branches, lilies and candles were behind the rabbi during the wedding ceremony. The fireplace was decorated with white roses, white lilies and candles. And the dining table was covered in lilies and roses! The room was filled with the most fragrant smell of flowers! Thank you Darlene so much for such an amazing job!
Michelle and Jeff’s wedding was small. I mean like really small! But it was totally perfect! They had total of 8 people attending (7 adults). It was literally the closest family. Rabbi who was leading the wedding ceremony even included this number of adult guests as a special Jewish wedding tradition of 7 blessings. So each guests represented a special blessing for Michelle and Jeff’s new life together. Everyone read their blessing, Jeff and Michelle sealed their marriage with the kiss. Jeff broke the glass as another Jewish wedding tradition and here they were married!
The celebration began! Their parents toasted with the best and most heart-felt words. Everyone enjoyed each other and the evening which held so much meaning and love!
Below you see a photo that includes a reflection of a person that was passing by the Barclays Prime during toasts. This brought some thoughts to me that there are so many important and interesting things are going on around us but sometimes we simply pass by them and never notice. I hope I never become bored with things around me and will always notice beauty and excitement around me!
