Quiet a while ago (a year and a half ago to be exact) I had an immense pleasure work for Caitlin Scott Photography and help her capture a special day for Sandy and Rick. What a special couple they were! Loving, gentle and respectful to each other they made their wedding day not only beautiful but extremely cozy and meaningful. Rick’s oldest son played guitar and sang during their wedding ceremony. Sandi’s daughter was a flower girl for them. And the closest family and friends were there to share their special day.
Rittenhouse boutique hotel Getting Ready
Both Sandi and Rick were getting ready at the cutest and coziest Rittenhouse Boutique Hotel located at 1715 Rittenhouse Square St – Philadelphia PA. The boys got ready nice and quick and even had some good time for breakfast. The breakfast station was pretty impressive there and the biggest and most delicious variety you can think of. After Sandi got ready as well, they had a first look and saw each other. We a had a few quick moments for their portraits and then we headed to the Washington Square Park for a few more photos. And yes! Sandi and Rick rode in a horse and a buggy! How cool is that!
Wedding Portraits at Washington square park
Now did I mention that it was that Saturday with the hurricane? Yes! It was! So it was just a tiny bit windy! But Sandi and Rick were real troopers and some wind didn’t scare them. We went to the Washington Square Park and had their bride and groom portraits done there.
Talula’s Garden Wedding
And now it was time for their wedding! Their guests all arrived on time and their beautiful wedding ceremony began at Talula’s Garden restaurant. Beautiful purple and pink wedding decor was appreciated by everyone, but even more everyone admired the meaningful ceremony. And here I went outside and shot through the window and that what I got. For their first dance Sandi’s daughter joined them for the fun :). How cute is that?!
Wedding Reception at Talula’s Garden
Right after the ceremony the room quickly was turned into reception area and the celebration began! And look at this gorgeous rustic cake all decorated with pink and purple roses! And a few minutes after the ceremony was over, the wedding reception began and everyone celebrated this newly created family!!! And yes, did I mention it was windy :).
Congrats to Sandi and Rick and all the best to them!
