Emily and Bob’s wedding was a while ago but I never got a chance to share it, so why not do it now :)?. Emily and Bob had their wedding at Camden County Boathouse. Emily loves ocean and beach so I thought that Boathouse was a very appropriate place to have your wedding at. The day ended up being super sunny, so we not only got to enjoy the warmth of it but also the bright happy light too. The family and friends were fun and we had an amazing time celebrating their wedding. And me, you servant South Jersey wedding photographer, had an honor to spend amazing time with these two slightly reserved but extremely loving people.
Bride Getting Ready Photos
Emily and her girls met at the hair and make up salon and got all prettied up for a big day. Many things have happened during this getting ready time. Something along the lines of donut proposal and commitment to be girlfriends forever :). When one person loves donuts so much that you can actually propose a forever-relationship, then it just means they LOVE donuts :). Emily got her hair and make up done and we headed back to the hotel to finish getting ready.
Emily made the most personalized and cute bracelets for her bridesmaids. And I am pretty sure the words on the bracelets were girls phrases that they were most known for.
Groom Getting Ready
In a mean time, Bob wasn’t wasting his time either. He prepared for the wedding, unpacked a special gift from Emily and was anxious to see his bride. The only thing I can tell you is that he definitely didn’t cry while reading Emily’s letter as much as Emily… well, and the whole room did with Emily, while she was reading a letter from Bob :). So here’s how Emily reacted to the letter….and how the rest of us reacted too :). Bob’s letter was so-so personal with the most amazing sense of humor. How do I know you can ask? Well, because Emily read it out loud and I know what it said!!! In the most touching and funny way he described their dating and love story. After hearing the letter, I felt like he should have toasted at the wedding and impressed all the guests too! But the most important part was that Emily was impressed and touched. Then Emily got into her gorgeous wedding dress and we headed out for the first look.
The First Look at Camden County Boathouse
Bob was all ready to see his bride! And Emily was just as anxious to see Bob too! We set things up the way Emily and Bob wanted it – on the deck of the Camden County Boathouse, right near the water. The sun was high and bright, but so were the emotions so I thought it was very fitting :). And in a few moments they reunited and saw how gorgeous/handsome they were! And their dashing bridal party were just as excited for them as they were! Loved it! After we grabbed a few photos with the fun bridal party we went into bride and groom portraits.
Wedding Portraits at Camden County Boathouse
Emily was gorgeous. Bob was handsome and so loving! It was a true pleasure photographing these 2! And this is the shot that Emily definitely wanted – nice and wide shot of them with the Camden County Boathouse. Well, I got that and took some freedom to get a few close-up of these lovely people. And then we got a few photos of the bride and groom the on deck of the Camden County Boathouse. Another shot that Emily and Bob really wanted to try to attempt was the shot of the Philadelphia skyline from the third floor of the Camden County Boathouse. And while we were going up the was this bright light coming through the windows. I couldn’t not get a shadow shot of them 🙂
Wedding Ceremony at Camden County Boathouse
And now the really thing began!!! Emily and Bob were about to get married! And yes, they did get married right in front of the water near the Camden County Boathouse and it was touching; and it was gorgeous; and it was lovely!!! And they were married!!! And ready to celebrate!
Wedding Reception at Camden County Boathouse
Cute yellow and blue details were perfectly set to put everyone in the happy mood. Fun guests and family enjoyed their time both during the cocktail hour as well as wedding reception. And the fun began with the bride and groom first dance following everyone joining them on the dance floor and partying all night long!!! The beautiful thing was that Emily and Bob’s wedding day was Bob’s grandfather’s birthday. It was so sweet that Emily and Bob and a custom cup-cake specifically for him to wish him a happy birthday as if their wedding wasn’t a big enough celebration :). And once it got darker, we went upstairs one more time to grab a photo of the Philadelphia skyline. I kind of loved it.
Congrats, you guys! Thank you so much for having me and God bless you!!!
