I love big weddings! All the preparations, all the joyful noise, all the fun and excitement. But more than a big wedding, I love intimate weddings!!! There is always something so special about having only the closest people in your life sharing these moments with you! Shakia and Rychard’s Burlington County Lyceum of History & Natural Sciences wedding was exactly that! I simply loved how their families joined them at the Burlington County Lyceum of History & Natural Sciences in Mt Holly, NJ for their wedding ceremony. The ceremony was short and sweet but still with lots of cheer and excitement! After we got family and bride and groom photos done there at the lyceum, we headed to their home for a relaxed backyard dinner. Now their closest friends joined in on the fun! There is always something so refreshing about intimate weddings and even so about backyard weddings. Capturing brides and grooms in their normal environment but on their wedding day is so so special and cozy at the same time. This is the spot where everything began and this is the spot where they will share countless dinners as a family now. This gives me all the feelings of joy!
As for the style of the day, Shakia wore this beautiful one shoulder strap wedding dress. The skirt had many layers of tulle and it looked so flowy and fun! Shakia’s hair piece was large and stood out so beautifully. It almost looked like she had a crown! Rychard looked incredibly sharp in his tan suit and complemented Shakia so well! Their kids all looked incredibly cute and so stylish sharing the white and tan color pallet!!! Shakia’s bright fall color bouquet added a pop of color and now made the wedding look like fall (otherwise you wouldn’t know what season it was :). Everything looked so beautiful and joyful!
