I don’t even know where to start with describing this beautiful and unique Barbuzzo Restaurant wedding that Catherine and Alex planned so impeccably! I guess I can start in the very beginning :). Both Catherine and Alex got ready at the Logan Hotel in Philadelphia. The view was simply stunning! The girls were getting ready for this beautiful day but not without tears! And I mean happy tears! It was so interesting for me to witness both Alex’s mom and sister-in-law tearing up just at a glance of Catherine not even wearing the dress yet. Once Catherine got into her beautiful dress that was something to tear up to! Stunning and such an elegant look of a fitter dress with a flowy lacy skirt going over it. Such a unique and gorgeous look! And Alex wore the coolest shirt with the ‘party sleeves’ and some amazing custom painted jacket! It’s a must to see!!!!
We traveled to the 1st Bank in Philadelphia for Catherine and Alex’s first look and then walked around the Old City for some pretty bride and groom portraits. After we were done with that set of photos we headed to Barbuzzo Restaurant for their wedding ceremony and then family lunch. There was total of 14 people to witness their promises to each other. There were tears, there was laughter, and literal tears from laughter, and when I got to meet Peter – Alex’s dad, I saw where the funny/goofy part of Alex is coming from! I am not sure if the photos will be able to translate the high and happy and funny spirits of the event but hopefully they do. So after Catherine and Alex exchanged beautiful touching vows that they wrote for each other, the family had the most delicious and gorgeous lunch! I normally don’t include food photos into my blog posts but this was definitely worth it! When the lunch was coming to end, the bride and groom asked everyone present, to sign a Declaration of Interdependence! And this request was filled with history and many smart and funny facts.
Following the lunch, we headed out to the 2nd Bank for some family photos and then had another portrait session for Catherine and Alex at the Penn University. Some of their family joined us there too and we got some pretty hilarious photos with the family! And oh yes! Hilarious…. if you like funny photos, there will be a second blog post coming out from Alex and Catherine’s wedding because of how many silly / funny photos they gave me. I can’t keep those moments to myself only and will share it with the world soon as well! But after some of the bride and groom photos were done, we also captured a few nostalgic spots for Catherine and Alex, including their proposal spot! Then we came back to Barbuzzo for a wonderful reception for all the extended family and friends. Beautiful decorations, delicious food and fun company were all the wonderful things there.
And being 2 minutes away from Philadelphia City Hall, Catherine, Alex and I sneaked out for some night photos! What an amazing day it was with SO many unique and beautiful things filling it. Look through just a few moments from this wedding and say your ‘congrats’ in the comments!
If you would like to watch their slideshow of photos that show more real moments with music, here is it. And if you prefer just scroll and enjoy more of a wedding magazine worthy photos, go right ahead too!
