Katie and Nick met country line dancing and hit it off right away. Katie admitted that she fell in love with Nick first and I am so glad she did. The way they interact with each other is a joy to watch! I am sure that as the the years will go by they will keep those little quirky and silly things they do together and their grandchildren will enjoy watching them interact too. But for now, it’s only the beginning of their life together so let’s talk about that! This slightly rainy day took place at a small local restaurant Curtin’s Wharf with so much character and so many cute corners. But Nick and Katie didn’t just stop at find this beautifully unique wedding venue, they have also planned every details of their day with the most stunning decor. Geometric succulent gardens served as centerpieces. Candles and eucalyptus were a beautiful addition to the centerpieces. Their cake was so beautiful and the sugar flowers on the cake were the most beautiful that I have never seen (just look at the photos below). There were assorted desserts, smores, yummy drinks, bubbles, beautiful wedding ceremony traditions but most importantly the family and friends who were just as fun as Katie and Nick. It was such a special day for everyone and I am so incredibly thankful to had a chance to be a part of it too!
Bride and Groom Getting Ready
Katie’s morning has started at the Hilton Garden Inn in Westampton, NJ. I started with photographing her beautiful details. Everything she wore that day was simply stunning! But it became extra stunning when SHE put everyone on. Katie without a doubt made everything look even more beautiful. Just see what a gorgeous bride she was!
Once Katie’s dad came to see her there were many tears despite Katie’s desire to not ruin her make up! But wait! There were even more tears shed from many more people during the father-daughter dance. Just watch what Katie’s dad does there!!!
During that time Nick was getting ready at his parents home. Cozy atmosphere combined with this fun group definitely was a good start of the day!
And here they were all ready for their wedding day – both extremely good-looking and so excited to get married!
Once we have arrived to the Curtin’s Wharf I have grabbed photos of Katie and her part of the bridal party, and once Nick has arrived Katie hid and everyone was getting ready for the ceremony to begin.
Wedding Ceremony at the Curtin’s Wharf Reastaurant
The wedding ceremony was held on the restaurant’s deck that absolutely looked like a ship’s deck. The ceremony was performed by the Captain William. Everything was so beautifully done and the wedding traditions that were performed were so good as well: sand ceremony to symbolize bride and groom’s union, tying the knot ceremony to symbolize the strongest hold between two of them, and finally rose ceremony to be a permanent reminder of their love to each other no matter what. I think my favorite was the tying the knot ceremony or at least Katie and Nick’s performance of it. They pulled the knot so hard that even Captain William was impressed!
And here they are – married!!!
Bride and Groom Portraits at the Curtin’s Wharf
Now it was time for the formal family photos and bride and groom portraits. Well, let me tell you that only some of the photos were formal… :). This group definitely know how to have a good time! And “just on time” for Katie and Nick’s portraits it started raining, but nothing scares these two people. They grabbed an umbrella and headed out for the photos. I love this so much! Thank you so much guys for being so brave and well, so loving each other so well!
Wedding Reception at the Curtin’s Wharf Restaurant
It’s time to celebrate!!! As I have mentioned the Curtin’s Wharf Restaurant is charming as it is and adding all the beautifully planned wedding decor detail made it simply stunning! Check out those photos and keep watching the photos of father-daughter dance. Katie’s dad started singing the song that he was singing to her before bedtime when she was little. I literally thought that I will need a stack of tissues to wipe off all the tears, well just like the majority of guests there too. So beautiful! And then we sneaked out for a few more day-light photos and those are beautiful as well so keep an eye opened for those as well!
And yes! Their night-time photos!!! I thought I will be raining but instead of was foggy! So beautiful! And normally I try to make those a little more romantic but Nick totally rocked the silly in a few of those photos and I loved it so much!
The night came to an end. It started slightly raining again. It was washing away the sweat from dancing and having a blast. What a fun and beautiful day it was! Thank you so much you guys for having me! Congratulations one more time and God bless you!
