Abby and Lior met through a mutual friend at a cafe that is going to stay unnamed at least in this blog post. Abby liked Lior first and it took him almost a year to realize that he really likes Abby too. The dating began and after 3 years of growing their relationship Lior asked Abby to marry him. They went out for a nice dinner in the downtown Philadelphia and after they got back to their hotel room Lior did something you will never guess! He started a facebook live! Yes! Family wanted to be a part of the proposal but couldn’t be in Philadelphia, so technology came to the rescue! This is the first story in my life that the proposal happened with family and friends be there over facebook live, but I can bet, it’s not the last one :). Well, the date was set, the venue was chosen, the planning has begun. It ended up being such a beautiful day and you want to see it for yourself!
Getting Ready at the Knowlton Mansion
Abby and her dad used to come to the Knowlton Mansion since she was a little girl so it was very meaningful for her to choose it as their wedding venue. Beautiful inside and out with lots of history, mansion met us in the most welcoming manner on this cold January day! The girls started getting ready at the hotel and came there just to get into their dresses. Abby wore the most beautiful wedding dress from David’s Bridal. Beautiful princess looking skirt and long lacy sleeves were simply a perfection for a winter wedding. The bridesmaids looked stunning too in their mismatched dresses that were pastel pink, pastel blue and dark blue. The flowers the girls had were put together by one of the bridesmaids and they looked AMAZING! The guys’ boutonnieres looked so good too that I think she needs to do more work with flowers <3! Well, the morning went by fast and now as both Abby and Lior were ready, we set up their first look inside the mansion. It was super cold so we chose the ceremony location for the spot for them to see each other. So check out their getting ready moments and read on for the rest of the day.
First Look and Wedding Portraits at the Knowlton Mansion
I loved everything about the Knowlton Mansion. Look how beautifully rich all the colors look! But let’s talk more about Abby and Lior. The first look was inside the Mansion but they did agree to go outside for a little bit for their bride and groom portraits. It was super cold outside so I appreciated their bravery very much! They even made their bridal party go outside for 2 photos. Then the girls rushed back inside for the rest of the photos and the guys stayed outside for a few more photos. Check out how pretty everything looks!
And here is Abby RUNNING away back inside after being in the freezing cold! Thank you, girl, for even going outside!
And this photo totally makes me laugh because this is the shot where I tell the bride and groom kiss and the bridal party is supposed to yell “Wohoo!!”. Well, Abby and Lior kissed for a moment and then joined in with the ‘wohoo’ with everyone else :D. I loved it!
Here are now the girls running away from the cold.
Everyone was SO good!
Wedding Ceremony at the Knowlton Mansion
Now it was time for the ceremony. Lior is Israelli so as a part of his ceremony they decided on doing a ketooba signing first. And can you believe that the first photo in front of your is the frame for the ketooba and Abby made herself!!! Yes! She made this! I was so incredibly impressed! This is too good! Well, after a short, sweet and very informative ketooba signing ceremony, the half of the ceremony was done. Now it was to the part that had to happen in front of all the guests. Beautiful, part Jewish part Celtic ceremony was performed. Reading of the 7 blessings, drinking of a wine, ribbon tying hands ceremony and finally the breaking of the glass and “Mazel tov!”. They are married!
Wedding Reception at the Knowlton Mansion
Now it was time to celebrate Abby and Lior!!! The wine, the food, the dances and lots of speeches that were trying to make Abby cry! All of those wonderful things fill the beautiful evening and the party was a totally success! Abby and Lior flew into the room as they were introduced as a husband and wife and didn’t stop for the rest of the night! They danced and partied well with their family and friends. After the cake cutting we sneaked out for a few night time photos but that was it. They danced for the rest of the night! Check those fun moments out!
What a day it has been!!! Thank you so much guys for having me at your wedding! I wish your all the best and God bless you!
